Artificial Insemination by Husband(AIH)? 

What Is IUI /AIH? 

IUI/ AIH is fertility procedure the physician directly inject sperm inside a woman's uterus to assist conception in an infertile couple.

  1. Sufficient sperm count
  2. At least one  patent  fallopian tube

Steps of
AIH cycle

4 Steps of AIH/IUI

1. Pre-cycle testing and consultation

I. Basic fertility analysis via blood taking or ultrasound

II. Health history taking

2. Mild Ovarian stimulation in menstrual Day1-3

Medication use for stimulating multiple eggs growth

3. Follow Up in Day 8-13

I. Blood test for monitoring hormonal change

II. Measuring the egg’s size and maturity via USG

III. Determine the date for AIH/IUI

4. AIH in Day 14-16

I.  Husband submit the sperm for washing

II. Inject the washed and concentrated sperm into uterus.

III. Pregnancy test on 14-16 days after AIH done
